Early 2012, there was a bid in the north of Chile for installing and start up a 2 MWsolar farm.

Project considered to install 378 poles to support solar panels. Timeframe was very tight.

Foundations specified were 60 cms diameter for each pole hole and 2.700 mm depth, in compact, hard and strongly abrasive soil, very

common in the north of Chile.

To perform this job, we ordered in Germany a complete rotating drilling head and bits, able to be coupled to a 20 tons excavator.

Bid points hardened and two sets of replacement G.E.T.'s for continuous operation. Manufacturer is very famous in the field of mining drilling,

oil drilling and bridge foundations worlwide. Our drilling head is the only unit sold in Latin America.

Equipment was delivered on time, quality is first class and nowadays is a very valuable asset on contractor's inventory.
